Space Outlaw x Princess was the favorite of Phoenix Comic Con. I must have drawn them at least five times! Loved it every time though. I’m looking forward to drawing more Bee and Puppycat covers next weekend in Denver!
My favorite Bee and Puppycat sketch cover of the day - Dream Bee and rainbow ribbons!
Some favorite sketch covers from Big WOW! Comicfest. This growing little con surprised me in a big way - it was super busy, lots of fun, and had a huge art appreciation presence. I was so happy to be invited to go and can’t wait to go again!
Anyone else going to the album signing at The Grove in LA this Tuesday? I’ll be there! Let me know, we should hang.
Had an amazing time at Emerald City Comic Con last weekend with BOOM! Studios. I’m so glad this was my first experience in Seattle, (LA makes me miss REAL RAIN!!) I instantly fell in love with the city and had so much fun sketching on Adventure Time covers all weekend long with Travis and Ian, and met so many amazing artists and creators I look up to. I’m terrible at taking pictures while I’m at cons, but here’s a few snapshots of the city and my favorite covers. Hope to be back in Seattle again soon!
"Can you redraw her body and make her more slender/thin/skinny?" is my number one pet peeve with client feedback. I’ve got nothing against drawing thin bodies too, but I’ve been hearing this a ton even when I use photos of super thin models as starting points and reference. SilverRuby suggested I draw a bodacious babe to get the anger out of my system, so I did and I made her a flower hipster, and now I feel a little better. :(
Amazing Arizona Comic Con is over and I had an amazing time!! Here’s some shots of some of the sketch covers I did at the BOOM! Studios booth. Thank you to everyone who came by to get a cover from me or the incredible Wook Jin Clark! If you haven’t seen it in comic shops already, you should check out the mini series Wook is working on now for BOOM! - Adventure Time Flip Side.
